Cocktail Recipe: Spiced Rum & Cider
#ThirstyThursday came early this week, because it's National Rum Day! In the words of famous philosopher Captain Jack Sparrow, "If rum can't fix it, you're not using enough rum". Here's how you make a delicious spiced rum & cider. We promise. It's super simple.
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 oz. Far North Spirits Ålander Rum
- 3 oz Trader Joe's Spiced Apple Cider
- 1 Lime Wedge Garnish
- 1 McCormick Cinnamon Stick
HOW TO MAKE A RUM & CIDER
- Combine rum and cider in a SelfEco Low Ball Tumbler with ice.
- Stir with the cinnamon stick.
- Garnish with lime wedge.
- Done.
Far North Spirits is a really cool Minnesota company making small-batch, craft-distilled spirits. We first met them during our experience in the Minnesota Cup. Inspired by a heritage of independence, hardihood and agricultural abundance, founders Michael Swanson and Cheri Reese fled the corporate world to their fourth-generation family farm. Here, they hand select, plant and harvest all non-GMO grains. They also mill, distill and bottle all spirits entirely from start to finish. If you've never had their products, try them. You won't be disappointed.
